SuperLinux Encyclopedia
This site exists to allow the rapid finding of documentation and other
information of interest to Linux users. It has more than
4000 links to external pages in 150 major categories and some local content.
|
Unless you're browsing, you'll probably find it best to use your browser's
"find" function to search for keywords. To aid in this, each important
keyword is prefixed with a "_" character in the one place where it is used
in a category heading. To minimize load time I have listed things categorically
and most sub-categories and topics are not duplicated alphabetically. Many
keywords have been placed in category headings when the associated topic
is on a sub-page, but if you can't find your keyword on this page, you'll
have to decide whether to spend time looking for your topic on an appropriate
sub-page.
If you can't find what you need here, try searching the Internet with
one of your favorite search tools. I recommend
the use of the "advanced/power" forms of Altavista
for "http" pages and DejaNews
for "news" articles. Altavista found fewer news articles in my limited
comparison, but if that isn't important, you might prefer the lack of advertising
and amazing speed of Altavista.
