Digital Equipment Company is very tight with M$ now. Has been on the NT bandwagon for several years.

Hewlett Packard has become increasingly M$-centric with their consumer products.
I've liked HP since I drooled over the HP-35 calculator announcement around 1970 and eventually bought an HP-45.
But I recently choose an Epson printer; they at least are compatible with Apple computers
and publish their printer interface language. Anyone know if HP publishes theirs?

Intel:
-
Intel seems to have done well at advancing the state of the art while maintaining
backward compatibility with their initial design which was probably the worst of the early
contenders. The main complaint here has been high prices which have only come down
fast with the recent competition from AMD and Cyrix. Also, I've seen allegations
that they have intentionally slowed-down fast processors to protect prices at the high-end.
Also, their "Intel Inside" campain, while probably legal, seems very nasty. See "bully".
