"Running Linux" is good and popular. There are many others.
-
One of the many compilations of LDP Guides & HOWTOs is very handy to have.
-
"Inside Linux"  (link to likely seller) Great 1996 book that explains how Linux works; not
how to work Linux. Mostly kernel type stuff. Would be good for Sys.Admin.types and "power users".
Not so detailed as to be boring since it covers many sub-systems and other topics.
Highly recommended for inquiring minds.
